Despite encouraging progress in the Netherlands and other areas, LGBT people still face obstacles to fully be themselves in the workplace. Events of the past year have shown that an enormous amount of work still needs to be done around the world. Diversity and inclusion policies that are supposed to apply to global workforces, are not or cannot be fully applied to LGBT employees everywhere. This must change!

Workplace Pride’s 8th annual international conference will take an in-depth look at what employers and employees, continue to face when trying to create LGBT-friendly working places in non-LGBT friendly environments. The primary focus for the 2014 conference will be on how internationally-operating organizations and communities can work together to create change in the workplace around the world.  But we will also zoom into more local themes and best practices that can be applied to all workplaces, no matter where they are located. With this in mind, the theme of the 2014 conference will be:

“Broadening Horizons for LGBT People in the Workplace: International Challenges and Opportunities”
